Chris LeDoux, Hall of Fame Rodeo Champion and Singer-Songwriter, was Born October 2, 1948

Chris LeDoux began his professional rodeo career in 1970 and wrote and performed songs about his way of life, using the money from music to fund his rodeo expenses.

Garth Brooks’ song “Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)” mentions LeDoux: “The worn out tape of Chris LeDoux, lonely women and bad booze
Seem to be the only friends I’ve left at all.”

They would go on to record the song “Whatcha Gonna Do with a Cowboy” together in 1992.
