November 27, 1941 – Eddie Rabbitt was Born

Eddie Rabbitt wrote hits such as “Kentucky Rain” for Elvis Presley in 1970 and “Pure Love” for Ronnie Milsap in 1974. Some of Rabbitt’s own recorded hits include “Drinkin’ My Baby (Off My Mind),” “Every Which Way but Loose,” and “Both to Each Other (Friends and Lovers)” with Juice Newton.

Rabbitt died on May 7, 1998, in Nashville after a battle with lung cancer. He was 56.
