Today is Tanya Tucker’s 60th Birthday

Tanya Tucker had her first hit, “Delta Dawn”, in 1972 at the age of 13.

Tanya released her first single since 2009 shortly after the death of Glen Campbell, on the eve of his funeral, and received criticism for exploiting his death. According to the article, Tanya stated “a portion of the proceeds” from her single would “benefit the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America,” but when reached, the AFA said they never agreed to partner with her and knew nothing about it.
